- Applications:1)Metal Processing and Sanding :Coarse grinding for rust removal: Quickly removes rust, scale, weld slag, and old paint layers. Weld seam sanding: Smoothes weld joints in preparation for fine finishing or painting. Cleaning of castings/forge parts: Removes burrs, flash, and surface defects. Pre-treatment of stainless steel/aluminum alloys: P80 is a medium-coarse grit, ideal for initial shaping and surface roughening (laying the foundation for subsequent fine sanding or coating adhesion).2)Woodworking :Coarse planing/smoothing: Rapidly corrects uneven surfaces in woodworking (e.g., gaps in glued joints, high-low areas). Removal of old paint/wax: Efficiently strips old coatings with higher efficiency than traditional sandpaper (due to its mesh structure, which resists clogging). 3)Composites & Plastics :FRP (fiberglass), carbon fiber sheets: Coarsely sands edges and trims cuts to prevent delamination (ceramic abrasives offer excellent heat resistance, reducing resin burning). Engineering plastics such as ABS/PMMA: Removes gates and burrs; however, pressure must be controlled to avoid melting and adhesion (P80 is relatively coarse—cooling or intermittent sanding is recommended). 4)Automotive and Repair Industry :Body panel repair: P80 is the starting grit for feathering edges, used to gradually blend damaged areas. Wheel refurbishment: Initial coarse sanding stage before removing scratches and oxidation. Underbody component stripping and anti-rust treatment.
- Suitable For:Angle grinder (with sandpaper disc) Pneumatic/Electric Orbital Sanding Machine (Random Orbital Sander or DA Sander) Handheld sanding block (with back velvet interface)
